Every single one of your business idols goes through times of stress, self-doubt and worry, too–even when they seem totally at ease. Because pulling it off is part of the job description of an entrepreneur, too. And we tend to be very good at it. We do what it takes. We improvise. We find ways to make the impossible happen. And we don’t take no for an answer. Even when we’re so exhausted that all we want to do is sleep for seventeen months straight. If this doesn’t sum of NFR prep, I don’t know what does. But what if we flipped that? What if looking at the insanity of this as ‘I GET to’, instead of ‘I HAVE to’? How about, “I GET to build thousands of pieces of what I love to meet hundreds of women that our work impacts” as opposed to, “I have 750 more pieces to build in 17 days and then drive three days to Vegas and deal with hundreds of people in the booth from 9-5.” That might be an exaggeration, but its easy to get wrapped up in the overwhelming insanity of it all. For a lot of us, this last quarter of the year is when we get paid- its not just the athletes that are headed to Vegas to finance the rest of their year. There are so many moving pieces, from inventory, travel, lodging, booth set up, appearances, the list is insane- but changing from ‘have to’ to ‘get to’ can make all the difference. How blessed are we to be overcome with something that we love?! Safe travels to everyone headed out, we are so (overwhelmingly!) excited to see you!
