Fall has arrived – which means long windy, sometimes chilly days, vaccinating cattle, moving cattle to fall pastures, tending to fences and cooking a nice warm meal for when the work is done! Fall soups have always been a favorite for me to cook. Potato & Ham, Taco or Hamburger Soup are a few of our family favorites but our most FAVORITE soup is Chili. Chili has always been a family favorite and it is something the girls can enjoy also! Chili is super easy to make, usually one has all the ingredients needed in their pantry, and the BEST part its easy to whip up!

*** Browned Hamburger & onions  – 2 cans Chili beans – 1 can Kidney beans – 1 can Pinto beans – 1 can Stewed Tomatoes – 1 can Tomato Sauce – a dash of pepper & salt – teaspoon of chili powder & garlic powder – AND the secret (shhh) throw a little brown sugar on top! Let simmer for 20 minutes!

Somedays if I’m feeling like a little baker I will whip up some Corn Bread to go along. Corn Bread is so easy and with a little butter and maple syrup it is a GREAT TASTY treat!
