sweetspring2“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”
~2 Corinthians 5:17With the grass growing by the minute and 70 degree days in Washington. Spring has sprung! We have 7 baby goats and the new bull turned in on the heifers the cats are about to pop and the 5 baby chicks are growing. What a miracle new life is and how it abounds and gives us such renewed hope in Spring. The aspirations for projects leave not enough hours in the day and great nights sleep after leaving it all out there as the days grow longer. I have bulbs sprouting in the Garden, other than flowers our food also. The puppy ‘Faith’ thinks the garden is a fun place to terrorize and the free range rabbit ‘Alice’ loves the new tasty sprouts, the cats love to pile up all of the newly planted seeds after they fertilize them and Ransom has his garden tools at work and loves to eat the garlic and onions, the goats can do a number on it really quick like, and it’s hard to beat the chickens to the fresh strawberries and tomatoes. Soo this weekend we built a split cedar garden fence with welded wire and a top rail. I love how it turned out even though it proved to be more tedious than planned. Now my families harvest will be safe from all our critters including the new mini goats ‘Sparkles’ and ‘Pepperjack’. With the manure tilled in and our seed starts sprouting we have high hopes for a bountiful garden this summer.
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” ~Galatians 6:9
